The EU Commission has released important guidance documents for consultation by stakeholders until 30 June 2012:

As outlined in Regulation (EC) No 2032/2003, meetings of the EU Commission and experts from the member states are held on a regular basis in order to discuss specific issues arising in the context of ongoing active substance evaluations. The final minutes of the open sessions of the Technical Meetings are now available on the web-site of the JRC.

Moreover, reports of the UN Sub-Committee of Experts on the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals are publicly available.
The much-anticipated upgrade of R4BP has been released by DG Environment and can be accessed via
https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/env/r4bp2. Along with the upgrade a new user guide and helpdesk are now available. The new features provided with the upgrade will facilitate the use of R4BP for applicants. Among other functions R4BP from now on allows to copy/paste entries for products and frame formulations as well. SPCs can be provided in all Member States languages.
Another four active biocidal substances from the review programme - BTI (Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis Serotype H14, strain AM65-52), Fipronil, lambda-Cyhalothrin und Deltamethrin - have fulfilled the requirements for use in product type 18, Insecticides, acaricides and products to control other arthropods. The Inclusion Directives were published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 21st September 2011.
A guidance document on frame formulations is after yearly discussions now availalbe. The document contains important information e.g. data requirements for frame formulations.
Industry and authority can use this guidance to calculate environment exposure scenarios for biocidal products. The document deals with products used as disinfectants in private and public health as well as in food and feed areas and as veterinary hygiene disinfectants.
